IBS sets client upgrade record with CARM-Pro 4.2 upgrade

NEW LONDON, N.H., December 10, 2010 – IBS completed its first client upgrade of last week's announced release of COLLECTION AND ASSET RECOVERY MANAGER – PROFESSIONAL (CARM-Pro) version 4.2 – in record time. "Version 4.2 is a major release. Loaded with exciting changes, 4.2 spent an extensive amount of time in test mode. Internal testing by our Client Services and Product teams led to unique features and cosmetic changes being added, and then it spent more time across a set of diverse test clients. All this indispensable feedback allowed us to put the final touches on the most significant release in our 21 year history! Even knowing its extensive production use life, I am still amazed at how fast the Union Bank Company responded to this upgrade and the upgrade process; and how smoothly and efficiently everything went." states Rob Daley, IBS President.

The Union Bank Company is a full service bank serving the area of northwest and central Ohio, headquartered in Columbus Grove. The Union Bank Company, a locally owned and operated subsidiary of United Bancshares, Inc., is traded on NASDAQ under the symbol of UBOH. As of December 31, 2009, United Bancshares, Inc. reported assets of $616 million. The Union Bank Company has been an IBS client since 2002.

"This powerful upgrade, with a lengthy list of enhanced features and functionality along with important 3rd party integrations, speaks well of our Product Development and Client Service teams", Daley continues. "As a firm exclusively dedicated to helping financial institutions manage their collection and recovery operations, while supporting the foreclosure, bankruptcy and repossession management activities, we can direct 100% of our resources to this one mission. Their depth of knowledge and dedication to our company and our clients is what makes their performance stand out. It just goes to show how well a team can execute a plan when they remained focused and enthusiastic about their product. I am proud of our staff and their accomplishments!"

Developing, implementing and supporting IBS' desktop and browser applications across all Microsoft supported versions of SQL Server, network and desktop operating systems, and Internet Explorer is a complex and challenging task. The smooth performance of all IBS software in a wide range of varying client size and computing topologies speaks to the quality product and services behind IBS.

"Version 4.2 stands proud in our twenty-one year history of serving one thing to one market. Its diverse, expanded product set is a perfect fit to the current economic challenges imposed on US financial institutions. This version has laid a strong foundation for IBS clients and for IBS growth looking well into our future," concludes Daley.
