Can the CMS-Pro get information from a core Loan system? CMS-Pro has a powerful import utility that can automatically post delinquent account information from multiple different core systems. CMS-Pro configuration files let you control exactly how each field of each record is processed. How does CMS-Pro protect multiple users modifying data concurrently? CMS-Pro handles record locking at the database record level. Each account has an in-use indicator that CMS-Pro turns on and off as records are accessed by users. A user is prevented from accessing (in modify mode) an account in use by another user. What are the minimum and recommended CMS-Pro requirements? Windows 2000 (SP4), Windows XP Professional (SP1a) (or greater) Pentium processor 300mhz or faster 128 MB RAM (256 or more recommended) 150 megabytes of available hard disk space Network card (if on LAN) Microsoft Word 2000 (including MS-Query) or higher CD-Rom Drive or DVD Drive Monitor super VGA (800x600), or higher Mouse or Pointing Device Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0 (SP1) or higher Microsoft .NET Framework v1.1 Does every PC in the LAN have to be licensed? CMS is a concurrent user licensed system with a software librarian function that tracks the number of users currently in CMS compared to the maximum number of concurrent users you purchased. If an additional user beyond the maximum number allowed tries to log in, CMS warns the maximum number of licenses has been exceeded, and suggests you try to log in again later. Can CMS-Pro operate on a Local Area Network (LAN) or a Wide Area Network (WAN)? CMS-Pro, ARM-Pro and CARM-Pro are native Windows? 32-bit applications that run in Windows 2000 or Windows XP with the latest service packs applied to the operating system and all prerequisite Microsoft products. What are the auto dial telephone requirements? CMS-Pro communicates with the auto dialer (modem) using the Hayes AT command set and Windows? calls to dial client phone numbers. Is there a history purge function? Retaining this information provides many positive factors to your organization with virtually no downsides. Saved history ensures complete regulatory record retention compliance and provides valuable information into future lending approval decisions while considering approving new loans. A history archive feature can move user date selected information to a subordinate archive activity table. Users have visual indicators (with single button access to archived activity) at the account level of archived information. Or, MIS staff can remove this archive table from their server (to free disk space). What language is CMS-Pro written in? Microsoft C++ as an MFC application. What database does CMS-Pro use? SQL Server or MSDE for smaller institutions. What are the hardware requirements for SQL Server clients? Microsoft SQL Server and client access licenses/software) Windows 2000 Data center Server or Higher Microsoft SQL Server 2000 (SP3a) (MSDE 2K Release A if less than 5 users - see below) What are the hardware requirements for a smaller client without SQL? SQL Server - under 10 users: MSDE (Microsoft Desktop Engine) (can be used for less than 10 users, when installed by IBS) and CARM-Pro Server Tools Can be used for 10 or less users use if the database is less then 2Gigabytes in size. This is a freely distributable (by IBS) desktop version of Microsoft SQL Server 2000 with the above restrictions and no GUI front end to manage the SQL server. Can CMS-Pro get information from more than one loan system? Yes. CMS-Pro can import multiple sets of account files, at varied frequencies. If you have different loan systems, in-house or data center based, each system's extract can assemble files for CMS-Pro to consolidate and import; or import each set separately. Can CMS-Pro pull data from a combination of sources? Absolutely. CMS-Pro is ideally set up to track data from multiple sources interfacing Credit card, overdraft checking, and others. How fast is the import program? Your environment controls the CMS-Pro import utility performance. Local PC, LAN and WAN configurations all heavily affect import speed. Organizations importing more than 250 delinquent accounts daily should use a Pentium PC. LAN and or WAN configurations may need changes to resolve file server, cable (band width), or other capacity constraints. |
